Like the first crisis, this has nothing to do with the Doom Loop. Instead the crisis is faced by those who think they want to pursue the career on which they have embarked, but after perhaps two or three years, they find that they made a wrong choice or they are simply not interested in what they set out to do.
The solution for these individuals – and there are many – is to radically retool. You can find many of these individuals enrolled in MBA programs around the country and even in other professional schools such as law schools, etc. They make a radical change – and then after getting the degree, face the first job crisis all over again – but this time a bit sadder and wiser and, of course, at generally a higher level of compensation.
